C3iHub was set up under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) in 2020 with funding from the Department of Science and Technology to drive technology development, technology translation, entrepreneurship development, human resource, and skill development on Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and associated technologies in the domain of Cybersecurity.
To build a cybersecurity ecosystem, C3iHub focuses on:
- Analyzing security vulnerabilities and developing tools to address them at various levels of system architecture.
- Translating these tools into deployment-ready software.
- Nucleating start-ups developing such tools at scale.
- Partnering with industries within the domain for co-development and technology transfer.
- Training the next generation of cybersecurity researchers.
